When I first saw the new ebay commercial I was terrified to hear The
Crash's song "Stars" in it, really happy that they finally got some attention. Now they're being promoted as "the band with the ebay song". What a shame.
I should be happy for them having this success but I'm not really sure that this will be good for them... The last album wasn't that great (one song
sounds so much like Van Halen's "Jump"...) and I just fear that with all that
"mainstream" attention they get it might just happen that the next
record will even be worse. Oh well, why so negative?
Not sure what to think of an Obi song for our building-center-company
obi.
A funny other music moment is the new song by "Oomph!" - usually a
rather martial industrial band. But by using this children's-chant "Eckstein,
eckstein, alles muss versteckt sein.." they managed to change their
audience from serious goth-rockers into primary school kids. My 1st graders sing
it all the time. In this case, I don't mid at all, it's just rather funny!
I never liked them before so... They go into the same category as Rammstein.

I slept 3 hours this afternoon which did me so well. I feel the energy coming
back, feel inspired again. Also the weekend is entirely open, no plans at all
which is a freedom I enjoy and really really need.
Feeling a bit sad that I can't o to see Morrissey in Manchester which will
surely be great, I'm happy for all of you who are going. He better plays Germany
soon! But somehow I feel I have moved on. It doesn't "hurt" that much
anymore that I won't be able to go. I can't say that I'm nonchalant towards it
either, but I realize that there are a lot of more important things in life.
I wonder if I lose or gain something by that knowledge?
