eating is still difficult but getting easier today
so i made a soup
a soup she would have made for me i think
chicken broth, ground beef(which i almost never eat but Andi buys tons of it so there is plenty)
for noodles i used ones different then she would have for i cannot remember what they were exactly
and there is something completely missing
no, not just her
some other ingredient
something i am supposed to mix with the meat
something dark, maybe black even, a cut up mushroom perhaps?
i am not sure
so instead i just grate some carrot
and as i do all this part of the memory of her doing so is with me
and though the color fades over time from it
i simply turn up the resolution as bright and glorious as ever
painting in new colors that remind me of the old
for that is the nature of my love
amen...
