Are you having a nice arugula salad for dinner?

I always hate it when I inadvertently crush a snail. As a kid, it really upset me and in times of rain, I walked very carefully so as not to kill any. Come to think of it, I still do.

Which reminds me of that one time when my parents decided to go on holiday together with my aunt and uncle (my Dad's sister) and their children back in 1981, when I was 10 years old. Now my cousin, he's a sadistic bugger and he tried to pour salt on a slug (thereby killing it). I slugged him (ho ho what jest) a good one on the jaw and he was very surprised an introverted boy like me would do that. But it saved the slug.
