Canada is not the place to be, mid-January. Toronto is violently cold and grey, Vancouver always drowns in a chilly rain and Calgary, well... let's just say that I'll know what the weather is like there by noon tomorrow. Yes but truly though, I can't imagine it being any better for weather in Canada's cowboy mecca than it is anywhere else in this empty, cold country.
But as I was saying, I'll be in Calgary tomorrow and from there - if I'm a lucky little gargoyle - Vancouver and California will follow to end off the month. Needless to say, if I do indeed end up sailing south I'll be dusting off the designer fishnets, sporting the funky old platforms and of course, polishing the lovely but cracked pop-in eye, just because I know what Americans like. Freaks!
Yes but Calgary, are you reading? In particular, Lucretia, are you following what's being typed? If so, perhaps we can meet up for a drink or two, my favourite little cougar you! Regardless though, I'll email you.)
Oh la la la la la la la...
January is misery, said the poet to the mirror!
Anyway, after spending a week at home nursing myself back to health following a crazy new year's eve week, I finally made it back into work where after tripping through Ohio and Detroit I had the option of doing either the American south or Western Canada. Of course, I decided that if I was going to be passionately defending my country to each and every Alabama porch monkey, I should at least see what I'm defending, agree? So yeah, this is what I'm going to do.
Oh, but I'm so far from where I'd love to be and you, you were never really there to begin with, were you? Flirt!
end.
Catching in the rye,
Sullen

I miss Calgary very much...it's so much like Dallas..only friendlier!
Best of luck with the journey.
