Brainwash
Walking in the rain is a good way to cleanse one's brain. Everything smells so fresh and alive. Even the year's first daffodils are in bloom with their vibrant yellow trumpets blaring within the tall green grass.
At once point the sun shone as the rain clouds dispersed, and in the bright sunlight the raindrops shimmered down in a light shower overhead.
I stopped into a French bakery and sat at a table gazing out onto the wet streets overlooking the dripping trees. As I warmed my hands around a bowl of cafe au lait I shuddered each time someone opened the door...
It had been four days since I had felt the chill breeze of being outdoors; I found that I was carelessly under-dressed despite my umbrella.
