I joined Yahoo Personals 3 days ago. It just looked interesting. It's not like I'm actively looking for 'the one', I'm far too cynical for that now. I dunno, I'm just curious who's out there, may be a way to meet people who I wouldn't ordinarily encounter. So far I've had 12 replies. They vary from extrememly dodgy foreigners in the country for a week looking to meet up (ie a fuck) to an American Christian soldier looking for a wife to a rather lovely-sounding investment banker moving to London in September. Bizarre. You have to wonder if these people actually READ your profile. I'm sure they just look at your photo, think 'oh she's alright, not a minger' and give it a go. Anyway, I think I may contact 2 of them who sound interesting, and the investment banker who sounds sweet. I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm looking for that part of my life that seems to be missing, the part that will make me content. But I'm not holding my breath...
