I left the North, I travelled South....
Hello! lou, 30, living in North London with the luscious Rallen, but originally from the North West. A girl with a thorn in my side, my main loves are good food, fine wine, BDSM and cats. Semi-retired from Moz-solo, I check in occasionally to check the journals of good friends. Not drowning anymore...

"Alone," perhaps... (Score:1)
You seem to have a lot of people who care about you, don't trade off the happiness you can have in that for feeling despair at being alone in a different sense. If you let it, knowing there are people who care can give you at least a little joy. True it is easy to feel alone when people are not around, or seem not to closely identify, or take the same interest in you that you have in them...whatever the case is, the blow can be softened by how much you remind yourself that no one (including you!!) is entirely alone. If you overlook that fact, those dark lonely feelings can consume you (trust me, I know!).
Keep your eyes open to the company that matters. The important fact: the ones who matter are the ones who care and who you CAN feel with you, even when they aren't there with you physically. Even far off friends and loved ones can keep you feeling secure and content, warding off feelings of isolation and even on occasion they can be your champion against feelings of nonexistence (in my experience, "lonely" often felt like another way to say "am I even here at all? no one validates my existence, I could be a figment of my own imagination").
You're only ever going to be truly alone if that is what you want to be...but from the looks of things, there are people who would be disappointed if you were ever choose that route.
Hope you don't mind my butting in, here...I don't even really know your situation, but there are some little droplets of wisdom here that I think would be useful in any event.
Take care,
Your friendly local glistening breeze...
