Northern Bird (4363)
Northern Bird
(email not shown publicly) I left the North, I travelled South.... Hello! lou, 30, living in North London with the luscious Rallen, but originally from the North West. A girl with a thorn in my side, my main loves are good food, fine wine, BDSM and cats. Semi-retired from Moz-solo, I check in occasionally to check the journals of good friends. Not drowning anymore... Journal of Northern Bird (4363)Tuesday February 18, 03

So in other news! Behind at work again. I just have too many things to do and am too lazy to work at home in the evenings. However feeling happy with things and am getting on really really well with work colleagues. Me and the bi girl at work are gonna go to some gay bars in Soho in the next couple of weeks which will be great. I genuinely like and get on with her so I know we’ll have a great time. It’ll be good to have a change of scene and go out for pure fun. I really feel like an exciting new phase of my life is beginning, I just wish I didn’t have so much work to do so I could enjoy it properly! Maybe I should have stayed at the Council for another year with it’s skiving, flexi-hours and endless days off. Or maybe my job will help keep me on the rails. I’m feeling reckless and wild and the moment – yes! My life was always ‘I could have been wild, I could have been free, but nature played this trick on me’, but now I feel ready for anything. I want to LIVE my life, explore, experience. My confidence is at it’s highest, and I look and feel better than I ever have. Good old Prozac LOL. As long as I’m surrounded by like-minded people I feel good. People are the key to me, I’m a social animal. On that subject, there’s a London Moz meet-up on Friday and I just can’t wait! There’ll be about 9 of us at a pub in Camden, drinking and talking. Blissful. I’ve already met 4 of them and they’re wonderful, so if the rest are the same then it’ll be a grand night indeed. Oooh and! I was casually browsing the ‘to let’ section of a website the other day to see what’s about, and I saw an ad for a wonderful house just a few hundred yards from my flat. It’s right opposite the tube, one stop nearer to work than I am now. It’s a new mews house with a glass roof, security, 2 lounges, 2 bathrooms and a roof terrace. This is as opposed to my flat which is old, scruffy, has some damp, a TINY lounge, one bathroom and no outside space at all. It’s £110 a month more, which will be difficult but far from impossible. Just means I’ll buy less clothes! Anyway, I emailed and today the owner phoned me to say if the guys seeing it tonight don’t take it, then I can go tomorrow for a look. I’m SO excited! Fate will decide, if it all works out then it’s obviously meant to be. The other tenants are mid-20s professionals too so I’ll even have likeminded flatmates which will be wonderful, summer barbeques on the roof terrace yay! And it said the bedrooms were in different parts of the house, which is wonderful as I am more and more often being kept awake by my damn weirdo flatmate’s tv. Fingers crossed for me! TTFN.
