Hello! lou, 30, living in North London with the luscious Rallen, but originally from the North West. A girl with a thorn in my side, my main loves are good food, fine wine, BDSM and cats. Semi-retired from Moz-solo, I check in occasionally to check the journals of good friends. Not drowning anymore...

I'm a sagitarius (right spelling?) and I write a journal because I like inflicting the events of my day upon others!
Only kiddin, I write a journal because I like writing and I like having people read what I write....well, sort of.

Why do I keep a journal?
I know my journal is kind of superficial, I don't use it to reveal my innermost emotions. I just hope that some peopel I know are interested in what is going on in my life, and I like to present thngs I'm proud of to an audience - you know I'm an attention seeker!!! This is what is inspiring me maybe a bit too often?
Also, as I'm a lazy email-writer, and since I've linked the journal to my site, people like my friend in NZ can keep track of my activities.
Sometimes it's also just nice to WRITE.

Inspired by suzanne's tales of braces, tennis lessons and what to buy from the supermarket for her tea, I began to tentatively type out the beginnings of what history would recall as my first journal entry. In those days there were no comments, and nobody said anything about me in their journals, so I began writing more and more attention-seeking journal entries, until one day somebody - Smiths - actually noticed me and said something to me in his journal.
After managing to get some attention, I think I realised that I was coming across in a whiney, moany, punch-me-in-the-face sort of a way, so I tried to make my journal persona more (less) like who I am in real life. Writing journal entries has just become a habit: when I moved house and didn't have the internet for a few weeks, I started writing things in a little note book, when I got my internet connection back I was going to type them all up, but I realised that without the threat of an audience, I'd actually written things that were extremely offensive.

I can't even remember why I started a journal now, it was probably cos I was goaded into it by one of my many Moz-solo bitches. I use it as therapy, mostly. And hopefully, to entertain.

I've kept a journal all my life, so it isn't such a huge leap. The online medium makes it very tempting to show off, though, or to construct a sort of character/persona. If I tried to tell you why I keep a journal this post could well go on for 16 pages. See I'm a true Libran! I mentioned the germ of why at my first entry, yet things have moved on and become more complex since then. Aaagh! What I mean is...
