I'm feeling a bit battered, for reasons I can't explain here. I've been reading something, a record from the past, and it's left me feeling a little confused. The main players were ones I either know or know of, but their roles weren't quite as I'd expected. Cryptic? Sorry but it's meant to be. I've realised that I haven't had enough respect for the relationship between two of the characters, and totally misunderstood the closeness of another one. Oh dear.
