04:55 PM - IOW to World Trade

Since I am all but barred out of commenting on the Message Board, I thought I would test the water in the Journal Land. Can I get trolled in here?
Not sure what to make of the IOW comments, but I am please we no longer burn people at the stake (UK anyway). I really lucked in on this one as I was going to go, but it clashed with a pre-booked holiday in sunny Scarborough. This is not too far from Bridlington so I will take a nostalgia visit to remind me of the best performance / gig of the tour last year. I am suffering gig wise as I have only managed to really enjoy 1 performance (that of Idlewild) since last seeing Moz in December. The Dead 60’s are up next week and I don’t know whether to go or not. They were passable in the Moz support role and at least they will keep me off here for a night.
If anyone wants to know why the world is so fucked, just read the article from the Independent on US Cotton subsidies. Saint Bob is just pissing in the wind with his G8 concert with this guy in charge. Oh well, at least the Spice Girls are reforming and launching a new Tour, single and ‘Greatest Shits Album’ on the back of it (sorry, that is not in the Independent, wor lass gets the Lies of the World).

I'm finding the main page all a bit chicken oriental at the moment too. The IOW incident seems to have riled the loonies up so I've been hiding out here until all the fuss dies down.
If someone is trolling you you can set your journal to friends only, or mark people as your foes and then barr them.
I remember the first time I saw a Spice Girls billboard- I was on a bus in Hammersmith and I caught sight of it and remember rolling my eyes and thinking "well, THEY won't get very far".
Fast forward to present day and that frog cacophony is topping the charts.
*Sigh*
