I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

All over this town...

04:04 PM

Pop goes the weasel, as per usual. Today, I bought "Morrissey: The CD Singles '88-91'", and ordered the add-on to that, '91-95'. Very nice. The guy who I ordered the latter set from asked me if I was going to the concert, which I obviously replied "yes". He seemed like quite a nice guy, said he loved The Smiths, so it's good to actually talk to someone every now and then.

University was...Well, same as usual, really. In Economics, we learned that as the price of a product increases, the demand for it tends to decrease. Really? I wouldn't have guessed that one myself. And that was my only class for the day. I also learned my tutorial time for Economics: 4pm on Wednesdays. This means that I have to go in for a lecture at 10am, finishing at 11am, and hang around for five bleedin' hours for a tutorial. Fantastic.

Still, I shouldn't complain. It's university life, baby. And although I don't know anybody, nor speak to anybody (I did speak, extremely briefly, to the girl sitting next to me in the lecture today, who asked me if I'd ever did Economics before), I'm sure I'll love it. I'll force myself, dagnabbit!

I checked my e-mail for the first time in what seems like ages today. A month, at least. Unimpressive. I must e-mail certain people I know. Pronto. Ish.

I'm having lunch with C tomorrow. Surely you must remember her? I know Smiths, and BlueGirl, and DWGT, and Higgy, and Biffo, and BWTT, must remember her at least! If not, look back to mid-January entries and onwards, particularly to Valentine's Day...

I was thinking about coming up with a Morrissey song which typifies every journalist in here. I think I might do that for my next entry, and I'll probably be lambasted by several people who feel hurt by my choice. Frankly, my dahlings, I do not care. As if you didn't know that already. It's my personal view, and as someone famous once said, "opinions are like arseholes - everybody's got one". So like it or lump it.

I was also going to produce a list of my top ten favourite Morrissey-solo journal writers, but I thought that would be too cruel for the moment. I shall leave that for a day when I no longer care for living. Besides, it does require some thought. Having to cram in ten names...Or having to extend it out and find ten people! Ho ho!

I feel a slap coming my way...I only jest, faithful reader. It's my style. Speak later.

  • I think that you should compose a list. I mean, you're correct in saying that we may not all like it, but what the hey?

My favourite journal writer is Mr_Biffo, by a country mile. He is indeed the most fantastic creation on God's green earth.
