Because that's where I'm going tomorrow! Yes, my manager at work asked me if I wanted to go and play in a football (soccer) tournament tomorrow instead of going to work. Well, talk about dumb questions. So, I'm going down to England tomorrow to play in that tournament. Should be fun. Better than working anyway...

I bought Viva Hate today, but it won't play on my PC. My PC has a knack of not playing certain CDs (notably Morrissey ones) so I'll play it on the CD player later. Once I've written this entry, to be exact. Hurrah! I get to listen to all these songs I never even knew existed...

Well, what else happened today, I bet you're wondering? Well, C was in for one hour while I was in. I couldn't resist going up to her and asking how she was. It's in my veins I guess. She said she was ok, that she didn't go to her interview on Thursday (arguments with the parents, what more can I say...), and that she was dreadfully sorry for not sending me a message back (although I didn't ask her about it), as she had no money in her phone. Amazing how these things happen when I need them most. Anyway, she seemed a bit more cheery today, but nothing like what she was before I told her about the way I felt...

Anyway, that was my day. Oh, and I opened another account, making me the only worker in my department to have met my "Winter Olympics pledge" of 2 accounts per week thus far. Hurrah! Not bad for a part-timer...

Well, I best be off and prepare. Thank you to Smiths, DWGT and BlueGirl for your kind words. I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'm keeping this up (although I probably will), so we shall see. But I'll try and come on tomorrow to inform you of our team's fortunes in this football tournament. Thank you anyway. You've all helped me greatly. Biffo - I'll be in Carlisle tomorrow, if you fancy coming to see us. Only thing is I'm not sure where in Carlisle the tournament is, so even if you get there you may have a fruitless chase in search of me. Just look for some Scotsmen, that should do the trick :-)
