A non-eventful weekend was spent largely in the bathroom, as the effects of a gruesome cold took their toll on my body. The bags under my eyes seem worse than ever (they're always quite bad) - I'm not quite sure if I'll ever be able to recover to a state where I don't look as if I should be endorsing the World Wide Fund for Nature.

I'm going to see Kraftwerk on Tuesday, which will be most enjoyable. Gig number two of 2004. I'm hoping there will be a few more before the year is out, although, as we all know, life can never be so certain and mapped-out. This weekend, a hunt for accommodation for my forth-coming North American adventure shall take priority. It's the only thing to keep me going these days; a hope for respite in the Canadian air.

I've been mulling over the possibility of going to see Morrissey in Dublin. €39.50 is quite expensive, though, without travel and accommodation (and drink) to be considered. Plus the fact that I'd be hated by the masses for appearing. Is it enough to endure? The reviews for the new album appear to be quite promising however, and if the rest of the songs are as good as the ones we've already heard, I'm sure we're in for a treat.

There's no real other news, apart from the fact that I'm going to start wearing my Youth Cross, given to me at mass a few weeks ago. It's wooden and very light. No shame in showing that I am a Catholic, so I'll do just that. Hopefully it'll protect me for these few trying months and beyond...
