Well folks, it's my birthday today, and quite a good one. People were giving me presents, and the usual "Happy Birthday" here and there, but the present I really wanted, I couldn't get. And, if you've been tracking my journal, you'll know what that is...

It's funny, isn't it, that the one present I want more than anything doesn't cost any money? The whole situation in Afghanistan puts my problem into insignificance (and rightly so), but it still hurts.

The other girl's getting back with her boyfriend. I'm really not liking him just now. He thinks because he can give me Hatful Of Hollow as a present that everything is ok. It's far from it - she deserves so much better than him. He always puts her down, and yet she still goes back to him time after time. It's sickening to watch. I'm supposed to talk to her tomorrow about it. We'll see how that goes...
