I'm not the man you think I am...I am a poor freezingly cold soul...I have just discovered that prudence never pays. Now, we must wait for the right time

Have you seen or have you heard?

I'm just back from the Complete Stone Roses gig. They finished their set with a four-song encore: "I Wanna Be Adored", "Waterfall", "Made Of Stone" and "I Am The Resurrection". Enough said, really. They were really good actually, I was surprised at how musically astute they were. Very similar to the original's studio recordings.

The concert was very male-dominated - I'd hazard a guess that there was between seven and ten males to every female - but that wouldn't bother me so much as long as it wasn't full of junkies, which inevitably it was. This took away a bit from the occasion, as I generally don't like junkies. Ugly blokes looking jaked out their head don't really appeal to me, sadly. But yes, it was a good gig. Despite having the contents of numerous alcoholic drinks (at least I assume they were drinks...) poured over me. The support bands weren't so bad.

In other news, my test is this coming Friday, and I have done no studying. I shall start tomorrow, and having a reading week (i.e. next to no classes), I'm hoping I'll be quite dedicated and actually get work done. I think it will happen; the signs are good, as I've been progressing with my willingness to work of late. The major deterrant is the fact that I have to do a project using Microsoft Access, and it's a big-arsed project. If anyone is familiar with Access, please feel free to offer me your support, it would be greatly received...

It's now three weeks and one day since I was last in contact with Claire.

  • I'm sure we should buy you a present for this.
    But what to buy?
Is it paper, lace, gold or silver?

Ah well, here's to the next 300.

  • the Roses split up in the mid 90s, after the shit live performances surrounding the under-rated Second Coming. But the tribute band Jacques saw are a more-than-able substitute.
