self-depricating humor) which he followed with the suggestive, "But I

guess I'll have give it back..."

Another thing he did was reference Alice B. Tolkas--Gertrude Stein's

lifemate. Before Meat is Murder he said, "She wrote a poem. This is

better than that... "

And before Shoplifters of the World...he said "I would like to thank all

of you. Now. Today. Tomorrow. And Always..."

I have seen Morrissey four times live, and this was by far his best performance--good humored, and musically tight.
