Moz in Spokane

I just wanted to say that the Spokane show was incredible. Alain, Boz, Gary, and Spike played a flawless set. I'm amazed that Morrissey came to Spokane where I could finally see him for the first time. The old Met theater was a perfect venue.

Some people have complained about the set list. I missed not hearing Sunny and Lost, but then I could complain about not hearing all the songs he's ever written if I wanted to complain. There are so many songs I would like to hear live, but I'm just grateful for the ones I heard yesterday. As it was, I sang along with every song (except for parts of Heir Apparant since I didn't know all the words).

I can't believe I've heard complaints about the band from some of you people. Alain's songs are incredible live and someday I want to hear more of them. I almost wish there were fewer Smiths songs so the band could play more of their own material, although Alain and Boz handled the Smiths songs better than I could have imagined after reading the reviews of past shows at morrissey-solo.

One of the highlights for me was when at the start of an intense rendition of Meat is Murder, a guy sitting one seat away threw up all over the floor. I found the timing horribly funny. Was it something he had eaten?

I've been listening to Morrissey for many years and I have watched his videos, but seeing him live put a real person behind the songs. While listening to a Smiths CD on my way home from the show, I noticed a whole new level to the songs. I hope this tour gives other fans the chance to see their first Moz show.
