Ruth - the goons you're referring to at the Beacon are used to dealing with the likes of the Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, or Al Green. In other words, the worst thing they ever seem to do is try to nut someone for smoking weed, or taking photos. I'm sure they were warned in advance, and made certain to put on their best tough-guy stance.

In fairness, I was impressed that they let those who rushed the stage back into the show through the side door (I was in the first row Loge and saw them letting people in fairly politely).

The Beacon is a great place to see a show, and I think Morrissey served the place real justice last night, but the people that work there are indeed better off handling an older crowd.
