Chicago, IL (Feb. 10, 2000)

Amazing (despite the body check, and the boar)

I'm sure that this is so long after the concert that non one is going to be reading this post, but I'll do so anyway out of respect and admiration for Mr. Morrissey. I went with my fiancee' - she got us tickets in the sixth row back, about two seats in from the aisle on the proverbial 5o yard line. It was my first Moz show - and her second I think. I had a blast, but I may have had a few too many in the lobby before the show. I had to flatten myself against the back of my seat so that I could let some girl (that was bigger than others), get to her own seat and she ended up tripping me sending me toppling over into the aisle (pause for laughter...you all laughed when it happened; so did I) - but as mentioned before that could have accentuated by the $20 double-Rum-and-Coke. My beautiful wife went wild bringing on the wrath of a piggish little security guard who had to come after us several times because she was standing on the seats and dancing. He would have gotten a good old fashioned Chicago style tune-up, but just then, there was a rush fans down the middle of our aisle that refocused his attentions on helping his little buddy try and keep the wave of Mozzers at bay. If in any of the previous posts where there was someone on the floor obstructing their view of the stage was mentioned, and it was her and I, then let me take this opportunity to apologize.
We had a blast - it was a treat to see him live, and even more of a treat to congregate with so many other people that were as estatic about being there as we were.
