Last Night at Swansea

Well firstly, Brangwyn Hall is an absolutely amazing, impressive place. Unfortunately, I found Sack to be quite awful. The singer looks like he failed the audition for Madness, and now spends his time talking to himself(the last song) and hunching himself over and half-jumping in the air. It really was quite embarassing. Let's face it Morrissey fans, you just cannot like Sack for the fact that they are supporting Morrissey, no matter what the pubescent girls on Morrissey-Tour tell you. It was my first gig of the Moz tour and when he finally took to the stage you are just completely raptured. I don't know why NME write off songs like 'November Spawned a Monster' and 'Alma Matters' as they are classics on a par with most of the material in the Smiths days. Morrissey is on fine form tonight, and solves a dispute with his 'Canning Town Sauna Club' T-Shirt, as well as thinking he is being heckled when he is being praised. The press Have got to him, it seems.

He whacks off 'Meat is Murder' and 'Last Night I dreamt that Somebody Loved me' but without the passion that he puts into his 'solo-era' songs.

The crowd love it. Unfortuantely there are a few tossers in the house tonight, screaming for a big mac after 'meat is murder...(so clever boys, so clever....)

overall a great night and one that I, and judging from comments I heard as I walked home, most of the audience will remember for a very long time to come.
