Limerick, Ireland (Nov. 28, 1999)

GREAT SHOW

Date: Monday, Nov. 29 1999, at 2:42 p.m.

This was the first show I have seen on this tour
and I was not disappointed.

I came all the way from Boston and so far its been
worth it.

The set was 17 songs, but it felt like a lot more.
The show just felt like it kept going. Everytime I
thought they were going to be done, they just played
another song.

Morrissey was VERY talkative and there was a lot of
banter between him and the audience. I'm sure someone will
post some of it. Here are a few things I remember:

Fan: How Soon is Now!!!
M: I don't know.

M: No requests?
Crowd shouts out lots of song titles
M: I said NO requests.

In an interview Moz was once asked if he would
ever write and out and out funny song. He said
to the interviewer, "Haven't you ever heard November
Spawned a Monster?"

Moz was saying something last night that I couldn't
quite make out and then he said, "That wasn't funny.
I've never been funny."
I shouted out to him, "Haven't you ever heard November
Spawned a Monster?"

He quickly turned to me and said "No."

One fan on my side yelled out "Your guitar player
is great" Boz was about 4 feet away from us and
said "Thanks."

The band was able to finish all of Last Night I
Dreampt and Morrissey left the stage early giving
them about 2 minutes to take the front of the stage
and play and get the applause and attention they deserve.

Highlights of the setlist were Hairdresser on Fire, a
psychodelic and AMAZING Meat is Murder and my personal
live favorite "Speedway."

Alain Whyte was wearing a blue lamee shirt
that looked a leftover from M's 1992 wardrobe.

If you are considering seeing a show but aren't
sure, definitely do so. This tour is going off much
better than the last one. The setlist is better and
the enthusiasm from Morrissey is definitely at an all
time high.

As for what he played, I don't have the exact order but
here are the songs:

You're Gonna Need
Boy Racer
Alma Matters
Billy Budd
Break Up The Family
Is it Really So Strange?
Hairdresser on Fire
Tomorrow
Reader Meet Author
Meat is Murder
Now My Heart is Full
Sunny
Trouble Loves Me
The Teachers are Afraid of the Pupils
November Spawned a Monster
Speedway
--------
Last Night I Dreampt...
