More rare versions of Morrissey / Smiths songs uploaded

Re: Some songs

While I'm thankful people like you make this stuff available, I'm also wondering why you (and others) hold on to it for "a while"? Is it for monetary reasons? Bragging purposes?

I'm glad to hear these again, but as far as I am aware, most of them (if not all of them), have previously been available, either here or at SmithsTorrents, a few years ago in some cases. I've certainly heard some of them before, and I don't know what other sites I would possibly have heard them through..

As for why people hoard things - sometimes they do it to trade for other rare items, sometimes they have paid loads of money to get those rare recordings in the first place. Most stuff leaks eventually. I know a few folks who have the full version of 'Kit', so I wish the buggers would upload that at some point! ;)

Again Unkle Skinny!!! I love days like today. And ❤️Southpaw ❤️ ( finally I get to hear what's whispered at the end)
Thanks is not enough

That last one is really nice to hear. Anybody else want to release some gems before the end of the year?

Thanks so much Peter. I was wondering if I was ever gonna hear these again. I heard Payroll about 3 years ago from a friend.. I wonder if the demo of Swallow (Dennis Cockall Song) will ever surface again?

Holy shit.

Thanks Uncle Skinny. These are great to hear.

To my ear the vocal on Never Had No One Ever is exactly the same take as on the final version. Listen to them back to back (or side to side) and the only difference is in the mix -- though in this earlier mix the voice is even more up-front and clean, which I think highlights what a great performance it was.

The laughter at the end also seems to have been cut and spliced and then reverbed out to create the haunting, repetitive fade-in of laughter that appears toward the end of the song on the album version. Probably if you listen closely you'll find other vocal bits that were used at the end, as well.

Great stuff, and a great performance. I've always loved NHNOE for the vocal -- it's nice to hear it in an even cleaner version.

What a great band.

"Best Friend...." sounds surprisingly good as an acoustic track (although it lacks a certain edge without the riff) and holy f***, that "Unloveable" demo! :horny:

Re: Some songs

I am a total dumb with these, have now idea how to download them.

Anyone would help?

I have recorded the streams all as wav files and made 320 mp3s out of them, and tagged them.

You can scroll down through the Never Heard Symphonies thread and find them in the last few posts.

Re: Some songs

I was the Rainbow Room when this happened today. He was playing his favorite video game that they had set up for him because everyone knew he was on his way out. He liked Morrissey. Anonymous-

Thank you very much.

Re: Some songs

One hopes the next piece of shit who has the sheer temerity to question Uncleskinny's extraordinary and ongoing contribution to this site knows just how far up their arse they can shove it.

Re: Miraval Sessions (You Must Please Remember) Studio Demo

By any chance, did you ever came across this track from your old hard drive? PLEASE upload it, thanks.

RIP Lemmy

Benny-the-British-Butcher

Awful, awful news. You didn't have to be a heavy metal fan to see Lemmy was a star to his fingertips. We're losing these guys and we aren't replacing them. As much a classic English eccentric as Sir John Betjeman or Sir Patrick Moore.

I saw Motörhead once in the early eighties. Down by one of the speaker stacks you heard them not through your ears but through your chest, and didn't hear much else for a good couple of days after. .
