find a website that alows you to simply paste the url of youtube videos to convert and download? I used vixy.net but have been having too many problems with it as of late. Thanks in advance for any help.

Quick and very easy to use, works with loads of sites, and good with YouTube especially as you have a choice of high quality mp4 rather than just an flv for most of them.
