...Moz/Smiths content at around 12:40. But... do yourself a favour and listen to the whole speech.

Karl points out that "..This is about a plebiscite about gay marriage that the right-wing Liberal Party are trying to have, when the majority of MPs actually would vote for it anyway. The plebiscite is an attempt to delay equality happening and appease the mad right. Labour (including Albanese) are against it and say it will involve lots of nastiness and hurt... thus the quote"

Thanks for sharing. Interesting.
Nice coincidence for Moz he will be in Australia soon enough and have a word about it.
By email interview or on stage.

For as long as he uses the appropriate words to address the issue and not making a statement that attracts the attention to other subjects, how important they may be too. No comparisons with animal torture and such a like, for instance. I mean not at this occasion. He can do that any other time.

Agree. Human rights, such as equality, should be enforced by governments and people on every opportunity in which there's a claim, no matter what and without delay. There's no point in plebisciting equality, since human rights are a legitimate limit to democracy, on the contrary we would have a dictatorship of the majority. Respect of minority's human rights are the foundation of a true democracy. The opposite was a monster voted by the majority: Hitler (I know, but I couldn't resist to name him since it seems it's a lesson a lot of people didn't learn yet).
