Default How many of you have a piece of Moz's shirt from a concert?

Would you care to tell your "story" of how you got it? I'm a new fan and would like to hear it.
    Thanks in advance.

I was at the show at the New York Roseland after having seen roughly 20 shows on that tour and fortunately escaping the fight for the shirt every time (I say fortunately because I wasn't keen enough on a piece of sweaty shirt to want to risk my life for it)...... I was with a friend and we were front row when sometime towards the end, Morrissey threw his shirt in the air and it landed right in our hands! The next thing I remember is having about 20 people on top of me, my friend being pulled back into the crowd and screaming because she thought people were stomping on me..... but I'd only dived down for a second to let the crowd wash over me. Anyhow, I came back up and my friend remained in the 5th or whatever row because the fight for the shirt was meanwhile going on somewhere else. After the show was finished we met up and hugged each other, happy to be alive. That minute this Asian kid comes up to us and tells us he saw us almost getting killed yet without getting a piece of the precious good. And with this tiny apologetic smile he hands us a large piece of light blue textile to take home.....

..aaaawwww - there is solidarity amongst Morrissey fans after all!

Default I *had* a piece of his shirt

I had to "DO" the entire staff at the arena (from the guy who mops up the men's room floor to the guy who refills the toilet paper rolls to the guy who peels the chewing gum off the arena floor to the guy who sets up the microphone to the guy who was the assistant to the assistant to the assistant stage assistant to the guy who gets moz's dry cleaning to the man who gets moz's vegetarian dinner to the guy who spits in moz's vegetarian dinner) and I got a piece of Moz's gold lame' shirt that I traded for a wonderful full-course dinner at the trailer park(a pack of beef jerky and a 12 pack of Meister Brau, a carton of Lucky strikes).

I got into Morrissey a few months after he toured New Zealand, in late '91. I really regret not seeing him live then. Anyway, at University in '94 I met a girl who'd been through a Morrissey "phase" and wasn't really into him anymore. She gave me a big bag of stuff .... newspaper cuttings etc. etc., and in amongst it was was a little peice of gold mesh from his shirt, which had been cut off a larger peice her freind had managed to wrangle from the mob when he threw it into the audience.

    I still treasure it ....
