It blows, compared to the original. This was overproduced, and yet still felt weaker than Lennon's thundering version.

uh, it's a Beatles-related classic, so it's never going to be better than the original. And it's done for a commercial...and as a brief clip. It may never be released for all we know. But as a PM fan, it's cool to hear.

just saw Peter at a way out of the way venue in Lancaster, PA...skipped most of his "hits", played a boatload of new songs and some covers- Instant Karma, Transmission and a show-ending Space Oddity among them. he's releasing 4 covers on itunes. only one's out now, but Space Oddity's due any day.

For the relative interested few...Space Oddity is now available on iTunes (as is Instant Karma). Sounds like it could have been on "Dust", which makes sense since he covered it on that tour. A little ambient, a little violin...
