ARGHHH!!! The bloody thing keeps freezing on me! Is there anyone that has any suggestions as to what to with it? (It's out of warranty)

Have you tried resetting it by holding down the menu and centre buttons? You won't lose anything.

I'm afraid I'm old school and wouldn't know how to operate one!

Hold down the center button and the menu button at the same time until the screen goes black and the Apple icon comes up. That will reboot your iPod.

If the reset method suggested above doesn't work you should bak up the contents (I'd recommend doing this anyway) and then do the full reset, can't remember how you do it but I think you basically hold all of the buttons down for ages. This wipes it (so you'll have to put all of your music back on there) but also resets it to factory settings.

    Good luck.
