Default Louis Theroux: A Place for Peadophiles

BBC2 - 9pm on Sunday, April 19th - A place for paedophiles. This promises to be yet another riveting piece of TV that's actually worth watching, from the best in the business. Not to be missed.

The episode where Theroux visited San Quentin was very good. He knows how to pull a documentary together.

Is Weird Weekends out on DVD over there? I looked a few months ago and couldn't find anything in the us. I've enjoyed the things I've seen him do.

Mind you, when you think about it a "Blue Jag" does sound a bit naughty.

I can't watch this kind of stuff. I get upset that such people can exist and breathe the same air as everyone else.

This was a brilliant documentary, but I did find it uncomfortable at certain points. The men there were just creepy looking and sounded quite manipulative *shivers*

Call me old fashioned but what use are they to society?

I certainly wouldn't one living near me.

I haven't seen the documentary so can't comment on it's content, I'll be getting it on the iplayer within the next few days (the iplayer really is superb) but realistically, what is the alternative to trying to rehabilitate convicted paedohiles? What else should you do with criminals. If people can be rehabilitated to the point where they are not a threat to society is it not a good idea to put them back into society. Is that not the point?

    Agreed.

They all looked like stereotypical paedophiles too.

i just watched it, that was some intense sh-, erm "stuff", you know?
i mean from that very 1st dude who was the gym teacher who raped his students
right then i felt my right fist ball up and clench real tight
i mean part of me will always think:
"These are people who are supposed to be killed."
but i know its important to "evolve" beyond that and besides, i dont need that bad karma on me, do i?
but hey, it is still alluring to think about killing scum that deserve to die
however, i paused the program for a little bit, did my breathing exercises
and gave Louis T. another chance, it was worth it, after that i did not get so upset, he did a real good job i think
& i did actually chuckle twice, once when they showed

    "the penis gauge"
    and when those pedos sang:

    the Addam's family theme song
but yeah, keep those guys locked up i say, i know its expensive
but honestly, if it keeps just 1 kid safe from an attack, then its worth it...
