    Arise Saint Jade!!

On a similar note..... the headlines before she died were saying
    'Mummy's going to heaven'
    'I'm ready for heaven' etc.

A bit presumptious isn't it. I thought it was god (or St Peter) who decided who gets in, not Princess Jade'
She had never once mentioned religion, but weeks before her passing, she gets the kids christened and marrys in church and then some god bothering vicar or priest starts talking about her as a saint and princess

This is actually a scarily real possibility.

I know a chap that swore he saw Elvis at our local Social club.

He does like magic mushrooms though so his reliability is somewhat shady at best.
.....in a snow filled sky, we'll make it all right to come undone.

ONE person found it offensive. For no obvious reason.

Personally I thought it was funny.

You don't KNOW that she "never" mentioned religion,JJ.
Also, many dying people find comfort in religion.

A film COULD be good:it is a great story:both her personal one and then the media surrounding her.
Would depend on script and direction.
    However,if it was just a cheap cash- in low budget/no brainer,then could be a a disaster .

I read her book when it came out the other year. She does not mention religion.
I have no problem with people finding religion in such circumstances, however, I'm pretty sure genuine christians who strive to be faithful to their god every day in the hope that they will go to heaven, must be cheesed off to find out that actually you can shag, drink and generally have a good time on earth and then in the final hours, ''find god and then expect to go to heaven''.
Yet that pillock vicar / priest seems to think she is deserving
Thankfully I have no religion at all.

When you phone this hotline are you greeted by an automated message in broken english telling you your views are unimportant, then redirected to a hotline which deals with issues that are only very slightly related to the issue you called about in the first place?

Repent your sins at the end:that's the best idea.Have fun and no need to pay for it
(none of that religion stuff is for real, anyway).
Why were you reading Jade's book?
What impression did you get from that of her?

    thanks for the brooker link.

I personally am confused how I feel about the whole thing. I feel really sad that someone has died and that she was so young. and I did find Jade endearing in that she was so human and made mistakes but clearly was striving to just find some happiness. On the other hand the whole coverage is bizarre. It does beg the question though that why would the papers spend so much time covering it if people didn't want to read the coverage?

It is easy to blame the media, and of course they may be blameworthy, but perhaps the public's hunger for the story is what was driving them?

    I sent a wreath saying 'RIP LARD-LASS'....
