Default The Smiths - Q Sleeve notes on "The Smiths"

I've been meaning to scan and post this for awhile but couldn't locate the CD. Q had this as an insert a few years back. It gives a little insight into the recording of the album. Enjoy!

Thanks for the sleeve notes. Interesting. Yeah for John Porter and Seymour Stein.

"...complete with a Morrissey-designed cover featuring a shirtless photograph of Warhol's favourite hunk, Joe Dallesandro..."

I recently went to a Warhol exhibit at the DeYoung Museum in SF where The Smiths album was hanging there, as part of a collection of album covers that Warhol had designed, like the Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers cover. Though the photo is a cropped still from Andy Warhol's 1968 film Flesh, it was misleading to have it hang there, without credit to Morrissey. Still, it caused me to smile.
