Morrissey at Bestival 2009???

Rumours abound on the Bestival Forum that organiser Rob Da Bank has booked Morrissey to perform on Sunday night at this year's festival;

And Mr Da Bank also hinted that Sunday's headline act would be an 'An S beggining with M".

They've already announced Kraftwerk and Massive Attack as the other 2 headline acts.

Given it's unlikely Morrissey will be able to play Isle Of Wight again, after he missed 2005's performance, I think this is looking pretty likely.

Has anyone been before? What's the general atmosphere like?

Likely to sell out early? Don't know whether to buy my ticket now, or wait?

I get newsletters from Sunday Best, but no confirmation about Morrissey's appearance in this year's Bestival yet.

Rob said that he'd like to have Morrissey for Bestival, but that's about it at the moment.

Incidentally there's rumour about 2009 Glastonbury appearance last year.

yes, also saw the Bestival line-up, with no mention of Morrissey, but thought that might be because they're scared to announce him too soon, incase we buy all the tickets (instead of their usual crowd).

Will have to see if I can get hold of a Glastonbury ticket too. I think they're putting more on sale in April (please).

i went last year just for one day to go see my bloody valentine. it was great. seemed like a very relaxed friendly atmosphere.

i bought my ticket off someone online just a couple of days before. the tickets do usually sell out but they don't seem particularly hard to find.
