And a further bump, to let you know you can download a splendid brochure/programme of the event here. Really looking forward to this.

Love the program! Wish I could go

Does anyone know if the essays will be printed or in some way available to those of us who can't make it?

Thumbs up Re: Morrissey Symposium at Limerick (Ireland)

Our plan is to eventually publish a book of the essays - in 2010.

Yes he is, funny too and he airs Morrissey a lot. A few weeks ago I couldn't believe it when he played 'Will Never Marry', comparing it to something by some other bands, including the Decemberists I think. It sounded magnificent, an emotional moment.

I don't know if I'm going to get to the symposium, I do hope that people will post as much as they can remember here afterwards. It's going to be intense, head-spinning! A huge amount of organisation must have gone into it: commendable.

It's a longer journey than the one I have. Get some kip on the flights, and I'll buy you a pint when you arrive.

    Cheers,

    Peter

Thanks Peter - looking forward to that pint! I'm leaving in about an hour and will be in Limerick on Friday - a long trip indeed. But the Symposium is going to be great
