[who are the FALL?]

during my tours in the net`s here there and everywhere, i came across with a band called "the fall", which are supposed to be alive and kicking...(john peel was a devout fan of them) i found out that they exist since the 70`s and have loads of albums (more than 30!!!)
can someone tell me whether they are good or not?
because if they are, i`d hate to be missing such a productive group..
and which album`s the best?

Sorry about the above post- old age setting in...Hmm..Yes you should definitely get anything by The Fall. I really couldn't say which album is the best..Try the earlier stuff. You won't be sorry!

My favourite is the Frenz Experiment. Buy that one first.
After a while their albums begin to sound very much the same to me, though.

The title of this post says it all - about best album. Great group, mixed quality of output but Mark E Smith is a top man. There's also a compilation album which is excellent. Invest!

Well, I love the Fall, although I don't possess all 30 of their albums. But, i think a great starter cd would be " A Sides." It has some exceptional songs from around the early 80's to about 1990. Kind of a greatest hits compilation, actually. Very Good!!

That A-sides album is definately a good starter point but the best albums were Hex Enduction Hour, Extricate and Bend Sinister but there are loads of other good ones.

I used to be a big fan and live whilst always shambolic varied from being bloody awful to not so bloody awful.
