Default Morrissey on Wossy 13th Feb

Morrissey is booked for the Jonathan Ross show early March. Jonathan also went to see Doll and the Kicks tonight. He liked them.

    Hahahahaha my thoughts exactly.
I miss really silly things about Manchester. I miss the kind of things that nobody would understand why they could be missed. I miss the grey slate of the sky. And I miss silly things about Manchester people.
But you're southern, you wouldn't understand. When you're nothern, you're northern forever, and you're instilled with a certain feel for life that you can't get rid of. You really can't.

You would think early February was more likely in terms of the album coming out etc.?

The post on there says "a few weeks", and early March is further away than that.

Wossy loves Moz, think he's been on like 3 or four times already, either as a main guest or performer for the playout track. Its always a pleasure to watch.

But i would have expected a mid-Feb airing, to tie in with the official album release date etc..

But who cares, Moz is on the telly !

In 2004 he did Irish Blood, and Everyday is like Sunday plus was interviewed.
The last two times have just been for one song each; both third-rate singles (THPGU and The Youngest).
Let's hope he gets two songs this time and includes a brilliant solo/Smiths song from the back catalogue. Can do without the interview!

I also enjoyed the interview on the 2004 show, pretty funny. You can catch it on the ever reliable YouTube.

Woss was his usual piss-take self, yet Moz handled his quips brilliantly.

Booo! Hisss! I thought it was utterly painful cos wossy was rather rude, and tried to embarrass him.

Ross obviously likes Morrissey and vice versa. If Morrissey doesn't mind being embarassed there's no point in other people minding for him. It's a bit like those people who get all indignant at how Morrissey has "treated" Alain, even though Alain seems to be very happy with his situation.

Am I the only one that thinks that these are not third-rate singles? More first/second-rate imo.

You're not the only one but you're in the minority.
Here are the results (somewhat predictably!) for the singles from the biggest ever Morrissey song poll that was carried out a year ago (with thousands of votes) http://forums.morrissey-solo.com/sho...t=83646&page=3
Out of all 35 singles, The Youngest and THPGU were voted the 29th and 31st best, way way down the list. In fact, with the exception of You Have Killed Me, the ROTT singles fare disastrously...
