Oh and Peep Show. Easily the best British sitcom in recent years.

I love them! I grew up watching them! The Young Ones, Some Mothers Do Ave Them, Blackadder and Allo Allo. I watched these four series in my teens. They were broadcasted on the autonomic catalan channel. My favourites were the first two ones.

Steptoe & Son, Porridge, Citizen Smith, The Carry On's, Bless This House, On The Buses, Hi De Hi, Rising Damp, Please Sir......

All classic comedies about working class life.....
then the Good Life and To The Manor Born came around and all of a sudden every comedy went middle class.... and far, far less funny and even less relevant.....

Without a doubt my favourite Brit comedy is The Office,

Other masterful works though; for me include Extras, Peep Show, I'm Alan Partridge, Bottom, The Young Ones, Stella Street, If you've never seen Garth Marenghis Darkplace I strongly advise you to do that, That Peter Kay Thing, and many other 70's classics like Fawlty Towers, Rising Damp, The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin.

How can you look at Brent and not realise it's the best British comedy show?

    In no particular order

    Fawlty Towers.
    Black Books.
    Anything with Peter Kay.
Gimme Gimme Gimme. (saw a box set of this today, and would have bought it if it hadn't been the season of spending all my money).
    The Office.
    The Royle Family.
    Peep Show.
    The Vicar Of Dibley.
    The IT Crowd.

I'm surprised more mention hasn't been made of Blackadder.

"I'm as poor as a church mouse, that's just had an enormous tax bill on the very day his wife ran off with another mouse, taking all the cheese." - and hundreds of others.
