hello laura. i'm just writing this short note, to let you know that i care about you. don't waste your time giving explanations to strangers, to people of a simple damn message board. i believe (that's just my opinion), the person who maintains this website shouldn't come and make people look idiots, especially because we are all fans, we have the same feelings towards morrissey. some people say that morrissey reads this website, well, if this is true, david tseng should have a little more tact, before writing something that would be an emotional damage for a fan. we all love morrissey, and we don't want to feel that our presence is unwelcome. yes, this is his website, but unfortunatelly we don't have an official site, and this is the only choice fans have to get the news on morrissey. if he has something really serious to say to any people who post in this message board, he could simply e mail his thoughts to that person. i believe this would be more polite and decent of his part. he decided to create a website about morrissey "for fans". we are the fans, we have rights. i still read, and eventually post something, just for fun, but i honestly don't get this place seriously. this is a little psyco circus, and i'm not part of this. relax, and enjoy this message board just for fun, don't get it seriously. and believe me: some people can think you are an idiot, but not everyone. goodbye, i'm on holiday, far away from my native place.

If you can't stand that, then why didn't you leave the board a year ago? (This of course is a side note, but related intensly) I've been coming to this board for more than four years. There have always been Morrissey fans who get their kicks out of outdoing each other, or by hinting at special 'insider' priviledges that they have. This is NO new issue. So I feel ABSOLUTLY no sympathy for you when you complain about it now. And I have witnessed you slamming other people, or cheering 'greasetea' on, so the 'innocent me' line doesn't work on me either.

True, in an ideal world, Morrissey fans would come together and love and support one another. I've seen it at concerts many times, and LOVED it. Althuogh for some reason, given an anonymous place to post thoughts, the thoughts that most people hide away come out. And some that are not hidden. And, with that premise you'll always have a fair amount of discontent and communication break-down on message boards. It's just a part of using the medium. So, either look to the positive bits and move on, or continue to whine, alhough it's really getting old.

Would you take the same stance with current affairs programmes? Maybe instead of "exposing" someone how about a journalist just left a small note (perhaps on a windscreen) for that person, telling them not to do it again. Have you paid money to David on a regular basis? Do you fund this site or contribute to it in anyway that consititutes (un)paid work? Until you can answer yes, you are bankrolling David, you have no right to demand as to what he writes on his own site, which could possibly be deemed as his property (and I'm sure it is).

Let me pose this question to you. If something (knock on wood) happened to this site, what would you do? Would you contact David to see how you could help? If David chose not to do this anymore, would you be willing to take over from him (understand that it occupies hours of time to maintain a site like this, as anyone who has ever attempted to maintain an extensive website for a long period of time can vouch for)? I wouldn't think so. Like most of us, you'd probably move on to the next site that filled the gap. So until then, be grateful for what David has provided. Be thankful that someone is out there that is willing to do this for you without wanting anything in return.

Anyway, a while back, on the subject of war, you talked about Ghandi. Passive resistance, peace at all costs etc. You were saying that, even though what Al Quida did was wrong, it doesn't justify the US bombing the hell out of Afghanistan. That an aggressive response wasn't necessarily the right way of sorting out the situation.

Anyway, I guess what I'd like to suggest to you is, why not try to follow that example? Whenever Laura posts something, it seems you just *have* to respond, and in doing so, you let this feud go on and on. Have you considered just *not* replying to every message Laura posts? And then, if Laura posts something you don't like, just bite you tounge. (or it's virtual equivalent). Try it .... I'm sure if you make the first move, Laura will ease off too.
