Default Animal Rights, ReUse, and me

    Hello everyone,
My name is Alex and I run STAY VOCAL (http://www.stayvocal.com), a reuse company. Our mission is to encourage people to reuse whenever and wherever possible. I have been a vegetarian for 8 years, as animal rights are extremely important to me. I can't even remember the last time I killed a mosquito on purpose and I live in a woodsy area of Massachusetts. I have a done a lot of work with peta2 and other groups over the years. I have even incorporated it into my company, as there is a specific animal rights / endangered species product line called "Put The Gun Down."

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself as a new member.
    Thanks!

Are you suggesting I don't have a right to swat a mosquito that is trying to suck my blood? Fuck mosquitos. I hate them.

Pretty funny. Mere moments after I posted in this thread, one of the busy-bee mods instantly started moving and merging it about the forum. Jesus Christ these mods needs to take a chill pill.

Thread has been moved back out. Those who post ads in their first post are likely spammers / robots but this one may be an exception. We'll see.

i look at that as just defending myself.

I hate killing bugs, it makes me feel bad but I will swat a mosquito. You can get quite sick from them.

It's not a good idea to swat a mosquito.

    You should flip it.

If you swat, you might get infection by its virus.
I saw a documentary a woman in the States was infected by a terrible disease (don't remember the name of the disease) swatting a mosquito.

thats my thinking.i mean if a lil bug is crawling across the floor i dont bother it, but i figure a bug biting me is like an attack,so i dont feel as bad.i really dont want disease either.

You sure about that? It sounds to me like you're promoting your company more than anything else...
