there are millions of bands that are worse. why is everyone on the bandwagon around here to single them out? isn't there a point where it goes beyond an opinion to making it a personal vendetta? what's the point?

really, it's not. It's just that The Strokes SUCK worse then any other band out there. It really shouldn't be a debate; they blow and that's that.

That's not true. I'd rather The Strokes than Limp Bizkit, NYSYNC, Britney, Stereophonics, Destiny's Child etc. etc. I don't have any particuylar issue with The Strokes. I just think they're quite average ... there are a bunch of better, more charasmatic guitar bands out there who aren't having nearly the attention or the marketing The Strokes are getting.

But it was cool seeing The Strokes on TOTP a while back ... well, it was good to see a *guitar band* on TOTP, really.

If I want raw NYC rock'n'roll, I'd rather listen to my Television or VU albums, thank you very much.
