Film has been released in UK in April 2007, possibly some other European countries.

Pity it still hasn't got a distribution / DVD deal in Japan where has the biggest Scott and Walker Brothers fan base in the world. :(

yeh its out in aus too where im from... you can definitely order it from aus and the uk, i know the states is getting it in june so that might be the option, although i agree it is a pity that japan doesnt get it... i know how huge they and he are over there so its very odd.

Hello Lone Star Walkers...

Just a quick missive to let you know that SW30 has been added for a week's run at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown (aka The Ritz) starting Friday, March 27th. For exact showtimes, check the cinema's website here.

hey dude, thats cool - i work in radio so i was gonna give the tracks a run on air if I can get a hold of them (i always like to give good music and my favs a play), but yeah lakeshore's pretty big so maybe it will

yeah i remember reading that although i thought that was only like "Stretch" and "We Had It All", "The Moviegoer" etc... but yeah Scott's definitely a perfectionist, no two ways about it...

Actually, I looked at his imdb thing the other day... he was quite the actor back in the 60's and 70's... He was in f#$*ing The Muppet Movie playing "Snake Walker" (loved that as a kid... never realised it was him) and a porno as well apparently called "Dog Walker" (pun?) but i dont think he was doing the sex part?? never know though... reviews say stuff like avant garde, violent, dystopic, too good to be a porn and so on.. sounds like scott right?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0135976/ (in case you're interested)

and japanese dvds are region 2 so the british dvd will work in japan

and i think, with that, ive finished... could talk about scott for hours

thats awesome bout austin too... cool place, lots of record shops

You can get "Stretch" and "We Had It All" on CD, i know Til the band..., The moviegoer & Any day now are 'blocked' by being released by his requested. "Stretch" and "We Had It All" are pretty bland to be honest. But i really like 'Til the band', it was one of the first LPs i bought of his. Before that, I just had compilations.

It's funny actually... youd think that'd be it but actually my last name is Dirickx- Jones (it's Belgian...) coincidence or destiny... you decide

Yeah, I've heard Stretch... it is quite bland... i was falling asleep towards the end...
I've also heard Any Day Now... not bad... cover of Ain't No Sunshine is alright... and whenever i hear We Could be Flying, i start thinking of the awful video on YouTube of him on The Pop People and he's walking around this set looking miserable and pretending to fly...

yeah i think i might avoid Dog Walker too... Muppet Movie on the other hand i might watch for a laugh and a reminisce

btw... watched cinemania the other day- really enjoyed it!

Carzon Soho isn't a very small cinema which bought Renoir and Chelsea Cinema in 2006.

What? Pardon?

Hey Kentucky,

SW30 will make an appearance at the Last Call Film Festival in Louisville on Saturday, June 27. Very much a last call...now that the film is out on DVD we doubt it will grace many more big-screens in the US unfortunately. So, rent it, watch it on a massive plasma TV, and crank it the hell up please. (Or just make the trip to Louisville.)

cheers

Sunday, Scott, cheap drinks...Chicago has got it going on!

Free screening on

Sunday, March 21 at 7:00pm

The Empty Bottle
1035 N. Western Ave
CHICAGO, IL

from the Empty Bottle website:

What better way to spend the end of your weekend than hanging out and watching some rock and roll cinema at the Empty Bottle? A free rock movie and cheap drinks sounds like a pretty swell way to spend a Sunday evening, so come on down for Scott Walker: 30 Century Man. This documentary pays tribute to the influential but enigmatic SCOTT WALKER, an artist who shunned pop stardom for a relatively reclusive existence in which he rarely released new music - but when he did, it was pretty unbelievable. Although not an often referenced artist, well known acts including BOWIE, JARVIS COCKER, BRIAN ENO, and RADIOHEAD all weigh in on his influence.

Montague Terrace (in Blu Ray)

"Greetings 30 Century Fans...

Verve Pictures in the UK has just released a Blu Ray edition of "Scott Walker - 30 Century Man." Click the link to visit Verve's on-line store if you want to order one.

(Sadly, there are no plans to release "Scott Walker - 3-D Century Man", which is a shame, because the floating lyrics & Grahm Wood animations would look amazing in 3-D...not to mention the meat...)

And for fans in Poland...the film will be part of a special showcase of music documentaries being currated by Allison & Tiffany Anders, founders of LA's "Don't Knock the Rock" music film series. They're curating a program of their fave music flicks for the International Festival of Independent Cinema in Krakow from 16 - 25 of April."
