To crotch or not to crotch the camera. Crotch it!

When I saw I could get away with my disposable (which I brought fully expecting it to be taken away) I wish I had brought my digital camera. Oh well, I got some nice Mozzer pics.

Does anyone know how strict they are with this no cameras thing? I know a lot of shows say "no camera" but don't search you. I dont want to not bring one and miss out.
I'm going to the Monclair NJ show.

Depends on the show and the security guard who happens to check you out. If in doubt, bring a cheapo disposable one that you won't mind getting confiscated.

Love Morrissey, but hate most Morrissey fans? Then this is the FB group for you.

All the House of Blues I've been to have been very strict as well. They have security looking for people in the crowd with cameras in case you successfully sneaked it in.

call or email the venue ahead of time and you don't have to worry about it.

really, most places are letting non-professional cameras in now days. i'd guess it's because everyone has a camera phone anyways

When I saw Moz in Clearwater during the last tour, I didn't see them search anybody. But when I went to a show at Radio City Music Hall, I thought the security was going to start body cavity searches, it was that intense!

i didnt think it would be a major problem until i read some guys article about a past Morrissey show where he asked to have the venue check cell phones so the cameras couldnt be used. there was chaos with people trying to get their stuff at the end of the night. i can understand no flash, but nothing at all kind of sucks. eh!

At almost every gig you can use your camera (mobile).

If you want some fine footage this is a solution:

I have a pretty small dig cam that I put in my boots and had long pants so just walked right in. My photos all came out crappy.

Yeah, that's the problem. Without decent equipment you are not going to get any pictures worth bothering with, especially in a setting like that. Once in a while you can get a decent shot with a point and shoot if you can manually adjust the aperture and exposure time, but camera phone... forget it. The lighting conditions are too crazy.

Just go to the show and enjoy it. Don't worry about pictures.

That was the 1st time I ever had a camera to take so wanted to try it out. I was close enough but too damn excited. I did get great photos of REM at the Hollywood Bowl, but they didn't seem to care. I learned my lesson, and will keep the camera away. Michael Stipe was right in front of me and tossed out a harmonica but dumbass me had my camera in 1 hand so I didn't catch it.

If you work at Webster would you mind telling me how to get my hands on a ticket since they were already gone when the sale opened

    What Morrissey shows?
"If I knew where good songs came from I'd go there more often." Leonard Cohen
    "
I’ve always held the song in high regard because songs have got me through so many sinks of dishes..." Leonard Cohen

    Default Cameras at Concerts?

Does anyone know if they're allowing cameras into the concerts? Specifically Pittsburgh? I know basically everyone takes one in anyway, but I'm borrowing a friend's camera and I'd like for it not to be taken away before entering! Thanks!
