Marilyn Manson's former band mate Gidget Gein has been found dead, after a suspected heroin overdose. He was 39. The bass player, real name Brad Stewart, played in Manson's band from 1989 until 1993, when he was fired and replaced by Twiggy Ramirez in a rather unusual way. On the Christmas Eve of 1993, when finding himself in a hospital bed, also after a heroin overdose, Manson dropped Gidget by way of a message delivered by Federal Express, to tell him that his services were "no longer needed". He went on to make music with the band Gidget Gein and the Dali Gaggers, and later as Gollywood and alo was active as a painter. Stewart was found dead at his home in Burbank, Los Angeles on Thursday, October 9th. More info on Gein and his artwork at www.myspace.com/gidgetgein .
