Because the UK obviously isn't stuck in some sad 80s downward spiral....

...and also because, the UK has FAR better nightlife, anyway. There's plenty to do here after dark.....why have some sad fat old pub DJs spinning Teardrop Explodes and Wedding Present records in the year 2001 for ex-goths who have to be home at 11 for the babysitter????
