My friend's daughter who is three has a veterinary kit and does checkups on her stuffed animals. She put the thermometer up to the cat's face, pulled it away, looked at it very professionally and assessed, "Yes. He's two-years-old."

I've agreed to take my neighbor's cockatiel, Peter. Barney and Jerry get a new little brother on Saturday! I'm sort of rescuing him, I've walked in their apartment to repair something and there was ZERO food and water in his cage, they just forgot to feed him. He'll have a good home with me. My first hookbill all to myself.
