Does anyone know how to make an mp3 out of a stream?

Just record it and then compress it. I would need to know what software you have to give a fuller explanation.

I have a mac. I guess there isn't a programme for this anyway?

I was pondering the same thing. I also have a Mac, and was wondering if there is any way you can record a RealMedia stream? Are there any freeware/shareware programs which can let you record the sound file into an aiff or wav or MP3?

I don't really know what the problem is, but then I don't know about macs. I would launch one of my recorders and just take it. Failing that I would use DataBeckers Webmagnet. I suppose this doesn't apply to the mac or you wouldn't be asking.

I have an Apple IIE and a dot matrix printer. Can I record MP3's?

Just Kidding!.

There is a programme for doing this, called Streambox Ripper, but this doesn't seem to be for the Macs.
