I worship the composer/performer Philip Glass. Most people I know cannot abide him..

Bjork is mine. I absolutely adore her but all my friends can't stand her...even though they've only heard "It's Oh So Quiet" and seen videos of her going apeshit at journalists.

Not many people I know like The Smiths or Moz, bar the odd populist single.

As for bands that no one else has heard of, I guess Styrofoam would probably be top. Styrofoam's lack of commercial success continues to baffle me. New single Bright Red Helmet is available free on their website.

I think most everything I listen too would qualify. Told my co-workers I was seeing Radiohead and all of them were like who? They've been around awhile too. Sigur Ros is another one that no one seems to know.
