In-N-Out Burgs ARE yummy- and they also have a vegetarian burger, I can't think of the name of it right now. What puzzles me is that we ALWAYS have Sonic commericals here and I want one of their banana split shakes! We don't even HAVE a Sonic here, so I don't understand why we get the ads.![]()
Oh, there's more to life than books you know but not much more...
for all you meat eaters, you now have a hockey team to root for. Arguably the worst team name in sports history.

nugz, I think it IS....They ALWAYS slam those commercials right when you would WANT a banana split shake. All of their shakes look yummy. I have two friends who live in Texas and they have a Dairy Queen AND a Sonic. Bastards. The Wendy's commercials make me hungry as well and thank goodness we have one. In the Midwest they have Whataburger. Damn it, now I want a malt.

They exist, I know this to be true. Just sadly for you nugz, not in dirty jerz. There is 1 in Lancaster PA which I went to while visiting family. My cousin and I had to wait in the drive thru for about 30 minutes, but that stawberry cream slush was totally worth it. I do order other food but won't mention it as I refuse to engage in a meat debate.
Also there is 1 in Ephrata PA, 1 near Downingtown PA, and 1 being built in Limmerick PA which is less than an hour away from me.![]()

Hey!!! Like I said I only go to Lancaster b/c I have family there. And the wonderful added bonus of a Sonic is always a good thing. And I havent been to Limmerick in many years. A friend of mine was playing golf around there a few weeks ago and sent me a pic of the Sonic being built. I'm not THAT much of a loser haha.![]()

that was the one time I was actually in Limmerick. at a golf course. i was not golfing though. it was for a job I had for 2 days. plus, I'm so entitled to make fun of central PA since I had to live there for 4 years during college.
edit: Sheetz is in central PA however. and Sheetz rules. I miss late night runs at Sheetz for Shmagels.
edit #2: no i did not add that "z" on the end, it really is spelled like that.
I was at the Sonic in Lancaster, as soon as I saw it I demanded that the person driving pull over so we could go to it, hahaha.
and they are building one in York!
Lancaster has a Wawa too, it is unfair.![]()

Sonic opened kind of near me and we went to it last weekend: The Mrs., the baby and myself.
It was like 100 degrees outside.
We pull up and the have the "drive-in" kind of order boards where you order and pay and then a Sonic employee skates over with the food "Happy Days" like. They also had a covered patio like area to sit and eat. But they had no inside seating - none at all.
We did not stay. We did not want to sit in the 100 degree weather even if it is in the shade and we didn't want to sit in the van in the sun.
I have been to a Sonic before in Arizona and it had indoor seating.
Why would an eating establishment build a place with no indoor seating where the temperatures get over 100 degrees in the summer and in the winter it can rain almost non stop for days at a time?
I'm not going to want to sit in my car in a downpour and have some shlump skate my food to me in.

When I was working on the West Coast I had to try it, gotta say it was pretty good for fast food. We have a local chain called 5 Guys Burgers and Fries which is all the rage. Burgers are good but HUGE, I tend to make myself sick when I attempt to eat one. Really, a small hamburger and fries from this place could feed a family.
My fave burger is from Ollies Trolley - nicely spiced burger and fries served in a reasonable size.
