What is your favorite Morrissey/Smiths track to play when you are mad as hell

oye terence

ampersand after ampersand
so what song do you blast through your home or car speakers when you are really mad, angry, fed up or pissed off? and not going to take it anymore.

i really enjoy "the boy racer" for this.

Alsatian Cousin. For no logical reason, lyrical or otherwise. It just does the trick.
Morrissey does passive aggressive music better, really.

Heir apparent. "no-one's gonna stop me when I feel this way" look.

Lerv M23 (On my way to London via GU's and \grim's).

Generally live tracks, preferably of show's I've been to. Playboys works, also National Front Disco obviously.

we could also add non morrissey/smiths tracks as well.

just throwing that out there....

Nine Inch Nails - "Head Like a Hole"
Eminem - "Kill You"
Public Enemy - "Fight the Power"
John Cale - "Leaving it up to You" (whoa...)
Sinead O'Connor - "Troy"
John Lennon - "How Do You Sleep?"
Bob Dylan - "Idiot Wind"
Joy Division - "Twenty Four Hours"
Joy Division - "Means to an End" (the live version on Still)
Tori Amos - "Professional Widow"
Nirvana - "Stay Away"
Pixies - "Something Against You"
Anything by Sisters of Mercy
Smashing Pumpkins - "Bodies"
Martha Wainwright - "Bloody Mother f***ing Asshole"

Boy Racer is a good one. For me, The Smith's "Shakespeare's Sister" or "A Sweet & Tender Hooligan". For Morrissey, it's definitely "Speedway".

Siouxsie and the Banshees "Carcass." Modest Mouse "A Different City" works fabulously as well.

John Cale - "Leaving it up to You" (whoa...)

"Brotherman" is superior.

Moar:

The Soundtrack of Our Lives "Dow Jones Syndrome" (hello username), "James Last Experience"
Bauhaus "Burning From the Inside"
Buzzcocks "Lester Sands (Drop In The Ocean)"
Queen "Death on Two Legs (Dedicated To...)"

And, of course...
Ludacris "Move Bitch"

"Brotherman" is superior.

Never heard it! It'd be hard to top a song that mentions winding up like Sharon Tate, though.

Lyrx:
Looking for a friend, looking everywhere
Walked along the boulevard, the boulevard of friends
All those mild mannered friends I’ve got
They’re careless and they fall down
All over the place, all over town
I don’t want them talking to me

’cause I’m leaving it, leaving it, leaving it up to you
Have to leave it, leave it, leave it up to you

All the buildings are breaking down
Like the whispering in your heart
And it’s sordid how life goes on
When I could take you apart
And if you give me half a chance
I’d do it now, I’d do it now, right now, you fascist
I know we could all feel safe like sharon tate
We could give it all up, we could give, give, give it all up
And the newspapers, oh the newspapers
They’d be listening, listening to me giving it to you
And the radio, what about the radios?
They’d be listening to me giving it to you

Right mama, damn right mama

I hear hissing, I hear hissing in the distance
I hear the tanks crawling
They’re crawling over the hill, they’re crawling over the hill
Like rattlesnakes in the desert sun
They’re blistering up my spell, they’re blistering it up
They’re breaking it up, they’re breaking up my spell
And what else is there, what else have I got?
What else have I got but that spell?

Ah, leaving it, leaving it, I’m leaving it up to you
Leaving it, leaving it, leaving it up to you
Leaving it, leaving it, leaving it in the cloakroom for you

I’ve got to give it up, I’ve got to give it up, give it up
Up, up, give it up

I can’t take it
