Thread: thread moving - no I'm not still moaning, ffs!

  1. #1

Default thread moving - no I'm not still moaning, ffs!

Can someone please tell me when a thread has been moved, why it still shows up in the wrong forum (but with the word MOVED prefixed)?

wouldn't it be best deleted from the wrong forum all together?

    thanks

    love

Presumably because it has been moved. Not deleted.

Grim, this actually bothers me as well I hate how the threads are when they are moved (no I don't mean the moaning )
The reason you can see the thread in the "wrong" forum is so the person who made the thread and others can see there is another comment. There is an option to not leave the thread there but David prefers it so people can see it.
So you can follow the thread, are you with me or am I making it more confusing?
The thing that I hate about threads when they are moved is when you click on the moved thread it takes you to the beginning of the thread that it has been moved into. this is a v bulletin thing, not us mods.

Nononono - just imagine this scenario: Mr Reynolds (everyone knows him, right?) starts a new thread, it gets moved/merged without leaving a trace, and lapses into oblivion?

    Unthinkable!!

Hmmm...as far as I know Mr Reynolds only posted two threads.
This shows he normally makes post to existing threads.

ah-ha grasshopper but if you pick up an apple from the kitchen & then put it on top of your christmas tree, can you still see that it's been in the kitchen?

Right! Well I had logged in here to let folks know that the New York Dolls were playing Glasgow (The Garage) on Sunday 29th June (uh oh just going to go and check something oh it's ok that's July)

and that I had bought you a ticket (you and Shuggy I presume) to go.

    But I won't bother now.

oh I can assure you if Mr Reynolds was sharing something, really something. Then it would be up, flagged and stuck. I would do it personally.

You're "not moaning" yet, you're here moaning about it? Yep, that proves it: You're even dumber than I initially thought. But smile, you do it with pride!

Proper people are so ungrateful. I can't believe someone suggested David T is the reason why he illegally records Morrissey concerts and sells bootlegs.
I think since people are so miserable about forums maybe David T should consider getting rid of collectors corner and marketplace.
    Congrats on the Red Wings.

There is a serious moral deficiency in anyone who has no problem taking a creature's life in order to fill their own stomach.

That's funny you call me a "half wit" when it amazes me the mentality of anyone who thinks that it is acceptable behavior to refer to anyone as a "nonce" aka child molester on an internet message board.

"The idea of a counterculture is ultimately based on a mistake. At best, countercultural rebellion is pseudo-rebellion: a set of dramatic gestures that are devoid of any progressive political or economic consequences and that detract from the urgent task of building a more just society. In other words, it is rebellion that provides entertainment for the rebels, and nothing much else."
