Woohoo!!!:d:d:d Itunes Has It!!! I'm Dancin' With Joy!!!:d:d:d
What's weird is that it says it's the deluxe edition, but it's just the regular release (15) songs) + THPGU live in Las Vegas (which was released anywhere else, was it? 7digital has a THPGU live at the Roundhouse). At least you can buy just that one song from iTunes.
That's what it is in other albums I've downloaded from iTunes.
I was going to buy the 2 disc release, but changed my mind after seeing the cheap cardboard sleeve they came in, as those scratch the heck out of the discs. You have to be really careful taking them in and out of those cardboard sleeves, so you dont scratch the discs.
I dont know if this was Decca's decision or not? but a bad one IMHO.
I was very dissatisfied when i first saw the (european) releases from Decca. The 7"s of THPGU as well as the (haha) 'Deluxe' Version of the Greatest Hits weren't packed as i could expect from former Morrissey releases. The paper, the print, even the size - nothing seems to fit. I had hopes that the US releases were better, but this doesn't seem to happen.
I won't think about how these discs will look like in a year or so - for a collector, this is a mess and a big step backwards from Sanctuary (which was a big step backwards from EMI...).
Wasn't there a time when Morrissey himself took care not only for the sleeves but also for the disc itself??
Maybe we can buy an individual Greatest Hits in a tin can with a vintage poster and a genuine piece of a worn t-shirt when the "MorrisseyDirect" offer is revelaed.... or better not.
